SI COP- The First Step Forward
One of the most popular COPs, Self Improvement (SI) COP held its first main meeting last week at HCM Conference Room in Kuala Lumpur.
At the meeting, it was decided to split the COP, which now has more than 82 members in Kuala Lumpur, Bangi, Rawang and Bentong into two, i.e Executives and Non-Executives.
The meeting also agreed on the appointment of En Wan Mohd Ariffazilah Wan Ibrahim as its Advisor. Mr Manoharan is the COP’s Leader while Amazing KM COP Leader, En Mohd Shukri Abd Rahman acts as its Facilitator. It was also decided to review certain staff scores which might have been over- or under-rated.
From the existing KGA table, it was agreed that the COP would start with an introduction to SWOT analysis and goal-setting. Other areas which require attention are powerpoint (IT application), English writing and speaking (intermediate) and English vocabulary and speaking (basic). SI COP members and staff are also recommended to join and actively take part in the online writing forum, www.createforum.com/writingcop.
More HCM Group staff are expected to join the SI COP, including those in Kelantan, Terengganu and other parts of Pahang. Unlike other COPs which are very much linked to job functions and are generally top-down in nature, the SI COP is a bottom-up vehicle.
