HR COP : 2nd April 2010.

A mini forum was conducted last Friday at Knowledge Capital Centre by HR COP. The topic discussed on that day was on medical benefits. The panel of HR staff were Norhadina Saadon, Syed Ali b Syed Badri and Yusuf Abdul Rahman. This session gave other staff to discuss and inquire directly to HR staff on the procedures to seek the medical treatment, terms and policies, claims and so on.

Some of the topics that were discussed on that day are the following.
Q : What is the meaning of medical on HR perspective?
A : A consultation and treatment for staff which is limited up to RM1,500.00 per calendar year.
Q : What is the procedures that staff should concern to have a medical treatment?
A : Staff should bring the medical card that stated names of families that covered by company such as spouse and children.
Q : What if the card is damaged or lost?
A : Staff should inform to HR and get the replacement with RM 25.00 as a fine. But if the card was stolen, staff should make a police report and claim a card replacement without the fine.

Q : Beside staff, who else is covered by our medical benefits? Does it include adopted children, second wives and step children?
A : Adopted children must be registered at Pejabat Pendaftaran Negara. Only first wife is covered by HR. Step children are also will be covered by our medical benefits as long as the child is under staff responsibility.
Q : What is the common illness that staff go for treatment?
A : Normal illnesses such as fever, skin infection, diarrhea, migraine and so on.
Q : What if the medical cost of a staff exceeded more than RM 1,500.00?
A : Salary of the staff will be deducted from the following month.
Q : Where should staff refer to check the list of panel clinics?
A : They can refer to the KM Portal at http://km.hcme.com.my.
Q : How do you make a medical claims?
A : Staff can download the claim forms from K-Portal and attach it together with the original receip and pass it to the Human Resource Department.
