Launching of COPs at HCM Group
The communities of practice (COP’s) were officially launch on 4 November 2009 after a briefing to HODs on Donovan Yeoh’s Operation-Focused Knowledge Management approach. Right now there are 16 COP’s based on job function and 1COP’s for staff development. IT COP’s one of the COP’s based on job functions.
Each staff in Protasco group are invited to join these COP’s which are open to all staff. They can join COP’s that macth their job or their interest. Each COP’s have particular competencies related to their function that can either improve the staff performence or gain new knowledge.
Every COP’s have their own leaders and as for IT COP’s, Tn Hj. Samsudin Taramuji will act as a Leader. Each of these leaders are specialize in their respective COP’s. Presently IT COP’s have 13 competencies which conclude all the IT business process.
